Row New Jersey Sends 7 Boats to National Youth Championships, Earning 2 Silver Medals

Row NJ's had two boys crews and one girls crew qualify for the Division A Finals (the top 6 teams in the country). Row NJ’s Varsity Boys 8 boat earned the highest finish in history of any New Jersey rowing team in the Boys 8.

Lake Hopatcong based team Row New Jersey had more than 30 athletes competing in the US Rowing Youth National Championships on June 10 through June 13 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida. One hundred and ninety teams from across the country competed at the event, youth rowing’s most elite competition.

The team also sent three under 17 age group boats to Florida for the first time.

The team is comprised of high school athletes from many towns from our area including Mountain Lakes, Mendham, Morristown, Boonton and Summit. Row New Jersey is based at Lee’s Marina on Lake Hopatcong in Mount Arlington


 The club has high school, junior high school and masters level programs, as well as summer Learn to Row camps. Row NJ is always looking to add rowers to its team, and welcomes people with experience or those new to the sport. Please go torownewjersey.org to learn more
