The tradition of telling the stories of the lake community continues…
Lake Hopatcong News is a news and features publication dedicated to informing, serving, and celebrating the lake region.
Launched in 2009 with Jessica Murphy as editor, Lake Hopatcong News began as a website, with a very small print presence during the summer months, keen on everything lake related. From the summer of 2010 through to 2012, LHN began printing a seasonal magazine, with limited distribution. While the website still existed, the print publication became the flagship of Lake Hopatcong News.
Karen Fucito took over in late 2012, expanding the coverage and distribution and transforming the magazine and website into what they are today. In 2016, the Information Guide book, with its colorful business map of the area, a comprehensive year-long calendar of events and its useful civic information, was added to the arsenal of publications.
The Guide book is published in March, giving visitors and residents a way to connect with each other and with the local business community.
The magazine is published seven times a year, with the Spring issue publishing in April and the Holiday issue publishing just before Thanksgiving in November. The magazine is free and can be found at more than 200 locations in eight towns around Lake Hopatcong.
With regularly updated news stories, personality profiles, thoroughly researched history articles, a delicious food column and business listings, Lake Hopatcong News, whether you are reading it on line or in print form, is the only publication dedicated to the residents and visitors to the lake region.
