Route 15 closed and detoured in both directions for emergency drainage repairs in Lafayette, Sussex County 

Trucks on Route 15 southbound advised to use Route 206 southbound


(Trenton) – Route 15 is closed and detoured in both directions for emergency drainage repairs north of Route 94 in Lafayette, Sussex County. 


At approximately 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, September 1, Route 15 was closed and detoured between Mudcut Road and Morris Farm Road/Meadows Road in Lafayette. The closure and detour are necessary for emergency drainage repairs south of the Route 15 Bridge over Paulins Kill. Crews are onsite to evaluate the situation and begin repairs. The following detours will be in place until further notice:


Route 15 northbound Detour:

  • Motorists on Route 15 northbound will be directed to turn left onto Route 94

  • Turn right onto Route 206, back to Route 15


Route 15 southbound Detour:

  • Motorists on Route 15 southbound will be directed to turn right onto Mudcut Road, which becomes Valleyview Road

  • Turn left onto Route 94, back to Route 15


Trucks on Route 15 southbound are advised to use Route 206 southbound to Route 94.
