Lake Hopatcong “Tri”s Harder – Triathlon Challenge Returns September 6, 2025

Presented by Saint Clare’s Health Location: Crescent Cove Beach, Hopatcong, NJ 

Hopatcong, NJ — The Lake Hopatcong Sprint Triathlon Challenge returns for its second year on Saturday, September 6, 2025, bringing athletes and community members together for a scenic and spirited race day. Presented by Saint Clare’s Health, this sprint triathlon invites participants to swim, bike, and run through the natural beauty of Hopatcong Borough and Jefferson Township—all while supporting a great cause. 

Athletes will begin with a 400-meter open water swim at Crescent Cove Beach, followed by a 12.5-mile bike ride through the Northwood section of Hopatcong and into Jefferson. The event concludes with a 3.1-mile run along Lakeside Boulevard to Maxim Glen and back, finishing at the beach where cheers and celebration await. 

Relay Teams Encouraged

The triathlon also features a relay category for teams of two or three participants. Teams can divide the swim, bike, and run in any combination. Whether it's a group of friends, coworkers, or family members, the relay format makes the event approachable and fun for all ages and abilities. Participants must register as a group.

Support Local First Responders

The 2025 race will benefit the Hopatcong PBA and other local Lake area Police Benevolent Associations. Participants who raise $150 or more will receive a limited-edition, ultra-comfy race sweater courtesy of Live Run Give LLC.
