A Round of Applause

As the seasons change and the Roxbury Art Alliance transitions into a new phase, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to some of our dedicated volunteers who have played pivotal roles within our organization. Their tireless efforts and commitment have significantly contributed to the success and growth of the RAA over the years.

First, we thank Jean Potters for her decades of volunteering with the RAA. She has served on the drama, performance, scholarship & outreach committee, has served on the Board as Secretary, and most recently as President. Although Jean is leaving the board, she will still volunteer as her schedule allows. Thank you, Jean, for your countless hours of serving the Roxbury Arts Alliance!

Sarah Coraggio has started her new life out of state and is passing the baton of Treasurer onto someone local. We thank her for staying on even after she moved away, until we found someone suitable to fill her shoes. Sarah has been involved with the RAA, on and off, since its inception in many roles and we value all the help she has given us over the years. Enjoy the next chapter in retirement, Sarah.

Working mostly behind the scenes, Joanne May has served the RAA for many years. Most recently, she was the Volunteer & Hospitality Coordinator for all our events and chaired the scholarship and OSDay committees. We also need to thank the artist Joanne, who has done the paintings in the hallway leading to the theater. Luckily, Joanne will still volunteer for us around her very busy vacation schedule. Thank you, Joanne, for all you've done.

Introducing...

When Linda Kosnik, our new President, joined the RAA, she jumped right in by organizing a holiday gathering for our volunteers- and that was just the beginning of her working with our board. Linda had a career of training and organizing people and events. She also has the enthusiasm and excitement to work with our team and grow the board to achieve sustainability. She is ready to usher us into our next season. We appreciate her taking over the unexpired term as President.

On March 18, 2024, we welcomed Lisa Church to her new position as our Executive Director. This is the first step to growing after wrapping up the RAA's 26th year! Lisa has been in charge of publicity in the past and her innovative contributions have led us to choose her for this position. We welcome her forward-thinking ideas to lead us to expand our offerings. She is a talented addition to our team.

New volunteers have eagerly taken on important roles. Cheryl Orszulak has been learning about the Volunteer Coordinator position and is ready to take the reigns.

Lynne Malandrino has already made a tremendous impact as Sponsorship Coordinator, leading the Summer Concert sponsorship drive.

We are equally grateful for those volunteers who have stepped up to assist, yet wish to remain out of the spotlight.

And not to be forgotten, we would like to thank the support of Roxbury Township, our sponsors, members and all volunteers in helping us to fulfill our mission of Bringing the Arts to Life in Roxbury.

We look forward to sharing our exciting plans for our 20th Anniversary of hosting the FREE Summer Concert Series and the upcoming 2024-25 theater season! We hope you will join us on this journey.

Many Encores,

Roxbury Arts Alliance Board of Trustees
