Along the Pine Swamp trail, hikers can reach the highest point in Morris County (1,395 feet). For those who are interested in camping, Mahlon Dickerson features a camping area with tent sites and Adirondack shelters that include platforms, picnic tables, and fire rings. Those with camper trailers can find paved sites with electric and seasonal water hookups, picnic tables, and charcoal grills. Pets are welcome to the reservation, but must be kept on the leash. And the picnic areas and fitness stations include handicapped-accessible options.  In the winter, visitors can go ice skating on Saffin Pond, play in the snowy fields, or cross-country ski or snowshoe along the trails.
