Lake Hopatcong will be hopping this weekend, with events scheduled to take place in Woodport, near the State Park, and on the main lake, featuring swimming, wakeboarding, and sailing. Garden State WakeoffThe second-annual Garden State Wakeoff will be running all day Saturday and Sunday out of the Hopatcong State Park, with proceeds going toward the Lake Hopatcong Commission (the State Police offered their services for free to help support the event). Tom Wear Memorial SwimThe first-ever Tom Wear Memorial Swim, a one-mile open-water swim to raise money for Jefferson Township Animal Rescue, will take place on Sunday in memory of one of the area's beloved residents, who passed away last year. Swimmers will start at the Prospect Point Boat Yard and continue to the Mason Street Pub, Oh! Sullivan's Woodport House, and then back to the boatyard. LHYC sailing regattasAnd the annual fall regattas out of the Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club—the last events of the LHYC season—will draw dozens of E-Scows and Thistles to the lake for a final regatta of the season.  Those races are scheduled to start in the late morning on both Saturday and Sunday, and will be running throughout the day.   So hit the lake and enjoy the action this weekend!  And let us know in the comments below if we left anything out!
