Fishing Report 8/05/2021

The Knee Deep Club's catfish contest is this weekend, August 7 and 8. It is a perfect outdoor activity to spend some time with friends and maybe win some money. And yes, the catfish are biting.

Max Hughen weighed in several nice fish. His two channel cats weighed in at 1 lb. 10 oz and 9 lb. 5 oz , along with a white cat weighing 4 lb. 2 oz. Catfish will hit anything from hotdogs and liver to nightcrawlers and herring, dead or alive.

Richard Hilton had several bass while pitching his lures along the docks at Nolan's Point, the largest weighing 4 lb. 2 oz. Hybrid Bass still being caught off Chestnut Point, the Main Lake out from Byrams, and Sharps Rock areas.

White and yellow perch are also being caught.
