Hopatcong Woman’s Club Continues to Support DASI
At our regular membership meeting this month, our program speaker was Kim Spangenberg, CEO of DASI. Our annual Linen Shower for the DASI Safe House was held in October, which is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. A big thank you to those who contributed! Members of the community are encouraged to donate NEW single sheets, single blankets, single quilts or bedspreads and towels and washcloths for DASI at the Wellness Center in Hopatcong (Walgreens Shopping Center) to help with this ongoing effort.
Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Intervention Services (DASI) is a private, community-based nonprofit agency operating in Sussex County, NJ as the primary resource for victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence, and human trafficking.
DASI believes that all forms of violence and abuse are intolerable, and that social change is necessary to end interpersonal violence. Their mission is to foster mutual respect and healthy relationships by providing comprehensive services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their families, community education, prevention programs, and advocacy. DASI offers safety, hope, and options for individuals and families affected by domestic and sexual violence, and for the community at large.
