Help ACME Supermarket protect the environment and support the Jefferson Arts Committee during the month of July
The Jefferson Arts Committee has been notified that they were chosen by ACME store leadership to be a beneficiary of their GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Bag program during the month of July 2021. The program not only encourages shoppers to use reusable shopping bags rather than plastic bags to protect the environment but to also support local organizations such as the Jefferson Arts Committee.
When you shop at Jefferson’s local ACME Supermarket at 5734 Berkshire Valley Road, purchase a $3 reusable GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Bag made from 95% recycled materials. The program benefiting the Jefferson Arts Committee starts July 1 and continues throughout the rest of the month. The committee will receive a $1 donation from each purchase.
The Jefferson Arts Committee and its performing arts groups -- the Jefferson Township Community Concert Band and Jazz Band, the Jefferson Township Community Chorus, and the Jefferson Community Players -- had to cancel all their 2020 events, programs, and fundraisers as many other organizations were forced to do during the pandemic. So, your participation in this July GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS program has never been more important.
The Jefferson Arts Committee is pleased to announce that its 2021 free summer gazebo concert series will begin on June 25 with a performance by the Jefferson Township Community Concert and Jazz Bands followed by nine more additional Friday night summer concerts. All concerts are at the Jefferson Township Gazebo in the Municipal Complex, 1033 Weldon Road and begin at 7pm. While there is no admission fee, free-will donations are gladly accepted to help fund the series. In the event of inclement weather, the concerts will be relocated to the Jefferson Township High School Auditorium, 1010 Weldon Road.
Please consider purchasing a reusable shopping back the next time you’re in ACME – Oak Ridge to help the environment and the Jefferson Arts Committee.
