The Rotary Clubs of Jefferson Township/Sparta and Lake Hopatcong are working together on an exciting new project as part of our efforts to bring attention to special members of our communities. These Fields of Heroes events will allow our communities around the lake to honor Veterans, Police, Firefighters, EMS, past or present members with beautiful fields of flags in the weeks near
Memorial Day and Veterans Day.
Our project of three Field of Heroes displays start around Memorial Day.
Th e 1st display will be at the Jefferson Township Municipal Complex on Weldon Road in Oak Ridge, from May 21st to June 12th. The Independence Day display is scheduled at the Northwood Engine Co. # 2 field, Maxim Drive and Indian Trail in Hopatcong, from 26th through July 11th. Our final Field of Heroes for the 2020 year will be at the Jefferson Township Fire Dept. Co. # 2’s Memorial Field, Bowling Green Parkway and Route 15 South, Lake Hopatcong.
