It's even too hot for the fish! Fishing slower at this time, early AM or evenings a better choice. Some Stripers hitting at Bertrands Island or Byram's Cove area with an occasional walleye. Weighed one in at 6lbs 11oz, caught on a live herring. Large herring also available for fluke fishing down the shore. Pete Rathgens weighed in a 2lb 11oz Smallmouth over the weekend along with some smaller fish also. Lots of crappie hitting small fatheads or little jigs. Panfish in shallower water, hitting worms if you need to have some fun with the kids. Knee Deep's Catfish contest to be held in August. Call shop for details. Have a great week.
